Retirement is Coming!
As I write this principal’s message, I have 6 days left with the students of Lebanon Elementary School. As most of you know, I am retiring as of July 1, 2018. It has been an honor to serve this school as its principal for the past 15 years. I have seen many children pass through these halls and I hope that I helped many of them along the way.
After 34 years in education, I want to be able to spend time with my grandchildren. Waverly and Milly live in Noblesville, Indiana and I will be free to go to see them or have them stay with me. This Gramma is excited about that.
Many wonderful things have happened throughout these 15 years – not because of me but because of the great staff and students. We began a summer reading program – providing books for every student so that they will have books to read over the summer months. Our school is now a part of The Leader in Me Program which helps to develop leaders in our students and staff. This has been a very rewarding part of my career as I have seen students become leaders and teachers taking on new roles as leaders.
This is a wonderful school and I will miss it but I look forward to the next chapter of my life. I wish success to everyone at LES.
