Basketball teams for Marion and Washington counties will wear special warm-up shirts to honor Marshall County when the teams play in a boy/girl double-header Tuesday, February 6 at Marion County High School in the Roby Dome.

Washington County will wear orange warm-up shirts and Marion County will wear blue; coaches for each time will also wear the commemorative shirts.

The girls’ game starts at 6:00 pm, with the boys’ matchup slated to start at 7:30.

The night will also include other important events.

Between games, the 2016-2017 MCHS baseball team will be recognized.  The team won the school’s first regional championship and won two more games in the state tournament before falling in final four.

Also, there will be a silent auction held that was originally to be a part of the Autism Awareness Classic, which was cancelled earlier in the year due to weather.

Finally, local Little League basketball players will be recognized during halftime of the boys’ game.  Little Leaguers will get free admission when accompanied by an adult.
