Calvary Elementary School Principal is Hired

Calvary Elementary School Council is proud to announce the selection of Mrs. Sara Brady as the next principal at Calvary Elementary School. Dr. Chuck Hamilton, Superintendent of Schools, says, “The council reviewed over 15 qualified applicants and after a strong interview process selected Mrs. Brady to lead the school. Following Mrs. Pam Marks will be a difficult task, but the council felt Mrs. Brady was up to the job.”

Mrs. Sara Brady began her career as a teacher over nine years ago at Calvary Elementary School. Most of her career has been focused around teaching a multi-age classroom of second and third grade students. Originally from Springfield, Sara attended Saint Catharine College and received an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She furthered her education at Campbellsville University with her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. In 2007, Sara obtained her National Board certification and shortly after completed her Master’s Degree in Elementary Leadership with Capella University. Sara has been an active member at her school serving on SBDM council, working with PTO, mentoring student teachers, and first year teachers. She is married to Jason Brady and resides in Lebanon. They have one son, Zachary (9).

I am truly blessed to lead the group of dedicated teachers and support staff at Calvary Elementary. It is my desire to continue Calvary’s reputation of being a top performing school where student achievement remains our highest priority.”

Mrs. Brady will begin her role as principal on August 1, 2012. Mrs. Marks will continue work in the district through September 30, 2012 and will assist Mrs. Brady in the transition at Calvary Elementary School.
