Integrated Social Studies is a sophomore level required Social Studies course for Marion County High School. It is a combination of early American history from American Colonization through the Industrialization and includes a 12-weeks introduction to American Goverment covering the formation of the Constitution, the three branches of goverment, and rights of citizens as prescribed in the Amendments to the Constitution. Beginning in 2017, the first half of this course satisfies the new state graduation requirement for the Civics Exam. Students will take the graduation requirement as the midterm for the course and will have additional attempts to pass the course with at least a 60% as required for graduation.
