My name is Lori Milby. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Marion County Schools. I have experience working with children since 2001, primarily in the elementary schools. However, this school year I get the pleasure of working with all grade levels Pre-school through grade 12. I am currently providing speech services in at Calvary Elementary, St. Charles Middle, Lebanon Middle, Marion County High, and the Headstart program.
I obtained my bachelor’s of science degree from Western Kentucky University in May of 2001. I then completed my master’s of science degree from Western Kentucky University in December of 2002. In addition, I completed coursework to obtain my Rank I in the school system (this is 30 hours of college work above my master’s degree) this past year. I have extensive experience, and feel comfortable working with children who have a communication delay.
My family is of great priority to me. I live with my husband, Adam, and our two children, Preston and Addison. Adam and I have been married since 2004. My son, Preston is 7 years old and my daughter, Addison is 5 years old. They both attend Calvary Elementary. This is exciting for both me and my children since we get to see each other on a daily basis at school.
I can not begin to describe how I look forward to serving children with communication delays throughout the Marion County Schools. Working with the little and big children is so fun and rewarding. Children of all ages inspire me to want to do more to help others. I look forward to an awesome school year!
