Welcome to my website!  I am orginally from Oklahoma where I taught for 24 years.  I was a first grade teacher for 20 years and 3rd grade for 4 years. I married David Whitlock in 2004 and have loved teaching in Kentucky since then.  I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and have been the primary RTI teacher (Response to Intervention).  This year was my first year to teach the Read 180 program for 4th and 5th grade students.

David and I have four children.  Mary lives in New York and works for Women's Health Magazine.  Dave lives in Danville, Ky and works for Marksbury Farms.  Harrison also lives in Danville and works at Charleston Nursing Home.  Madi resides  in Lebanon and is finishing her nursing degree at Campbellsville University.  We have a precious grandson, Eli, that brings joy to us daily!

Teaching has been a calling for me.  One of the sweetest rewards from teaching is watching my former students achieve their dreams.  I have reconnected with many of them and am so very proud of their successes!  Throughout my career, I have sought  guidance, discernment, strength and wisdom daily in teaching my students.  One of my favorite quote states that, "A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart."  I hope I have and will continue to accomplish this goal.
