Marion County FFA members are presented awards at the annual FFA Awards banquet.  On March 17th, Marion County FFA members traveled to the E-Town Community and Technical College for regional competition.  Six areas advance to FFA state competition in June at Rupp Arena in Lexington.  They are: Nick Sandusky – Beef Impromptu, Paige Mattingly – Dairy Impromptu, Carrie Ann Followell – Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Gabby Barnes – Horse Impromptu, Madalynn Thompson – Poultry Impromptu and Alexis Hayden and Jake McCauley – Talent. MCHS Picture Day

Marion County High School will have school picture day on Wednesday, August 24th beginning at 8:30AMNo money will be need at this time.  Proofs will be sent home for parents/guardians to place orders, and then return the order form along with the payment to the schools front office.

2016 Freshman JumpStart

The class of 2020 is encouraged to attend Freshmen Jumpstart on Tuesday, July 26. Check-in will begin at 8:00 with the program running from 8:30-1:30. Parents do not need to attend. This is a fun filled, informational day designed to ease the transition into high school. Every participant will receive a t-shirt and lunch. There will also be door prizes given.

2016 Student Ambassador Applications

Applications for the 2016-17 Marion County Student Ambassadors are now being accepted from interested Marion County High School students entering grades 10-12. The application must be submitted no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016. Applications may be submitted electronically to or Forms may also be presented in person to Mrs. Kim Hardin in the MCHS library. MCHS One-to-One Take Home Requirement - Registering for a Digital Driver’s License Account

At the beginning of the 2016-17 school year, all Marion County High School students will receive a Google Chromebook for classroom instruction. In order for students to qualify for the district’s one-to-one take home program, students must meet a set of guidelines. One of the guidelines is receiving your Digital Driver’s License (DDL). Registration instructions and information on how to obtain your DDL are in the link below. If you have any questions or experience issues while trying to register/obtain your DDL, or don’t know your school e-mail address, please contact your DDL advisor, Dylan Tungate, at Please be aware that case progress resets each year on July 1, which means your answers to incomplete quizzes will disappear.
