Red Ribbon Week- October 27-31

This week is Red Ribbon Week!  Here is a list of activites to show our awareness and support of NOT using Drugs.

Monday—DON’T LET DRUGS SNEAK UP ON YOU!—wear your sneakers to school

    Tuesday—TURN YOUR BACK ON DRUGS!—wear your shirts backwards

   Wednesday—SOCK IT TO DRUGS!—wear your crazy socks

    Thursday—RED RALLY DAY!—wear all red

    Friday—DRESS FOR SUCCESS DAY!—Wear your professional clothing, or dress in your career choice

Pre-Board meeting Entertainment Nov. 11

Students in Litton, Caldwell, and Spalding will be performing for the Marion County School Board meeting on Tuesday, November 11th.  Students will be performing here at CALVARY Elementary School that night instead of the Board Office. 

Students need to arrive at Calvary Elementary School at 5:15.  We will perform at 5:30.  It will only last about 15 to 25 minutes.  We hope that all students in these two classes will be able to attend.

Students will need to wear jeans and their Calvary t-shirts or a Green t-shirt.

Caring Place -Community Service Project - Due December 17th

Let's celebrate "sharpening our saw" this year by focusing on giving to others. It is time to start discussing and advertisting our annual Caring Place service project. This is a great way to focus on our habits and teach our students to give to others (It's even Think Win-Win!)

Middle School Band performance October 29th

The Middle School Band will be performing for us on October 29th @ 1:00.

November 7th - Senator Higdon visits

On November 7th, Senator Higdon will be coming to visit with Mrs. Litton and Mrs. Dougherty's classes.  He will be here from 8:30-9:30 am.

November 19th - Nutrition classes

Students in Thomas, Clark, May and Clarkson will be having nutrition classes on November 19th.

Friday, October 31st - Dress for Success Day

"Dress For Success" day will be on October 31st.  You may dress up in professional dress or in your favorite career. 

December 4th - Field trip to Danville

Students in grades K-2 will be going to see "Junie B. Jones: Batman Smells".  THis is a stage production of one of our FAVORITE book characters.  We will be viewing the play in Danville at Centre College.

3rd Grade Christmas Play -Decmeber 8th

Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Litton's classes will perform their Musical 'Twas the Night Before Christmas on December 8th.  We will have a school wide performance at 1:30 and the night performance at 6:00.

Student actors need to be at school at 5:30pm to prepare for the show.

Decemebr 9th - Make Up pictures

Make up pictures will be held on Decmeber 9th.

Santa visits and Pictures- December 15th

Santa will be visiting our school on December 15th.  Everyone will get a chance to visit with him.  If you would like a picture with Santa, please send $1.00 in an envelope marked with your child's name, teacher, and Santa picture.  This is to ensure we know what the money is for.

2nd 9 weeks ends - December 19th

On December 19th the second nine weeks will end with 44 days.
