Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.
This quote by Colin Powell is a very powerful statement and one that sums up the success criteria for Lebanon Elementary. We are are striving for student success. We are a school of rich tradition and I cannot wait to see what opportunities that this new school year will bring to our school and the community. It is an honor to be a part of a school district that is dedicated to the success of students.
Our student success criteria will focus on relationships and leadership. LES has been working all summer to continue building on the foundation of our Leader In Me philosophy. We will continue with our Junior Ambassadors and add more opportunities for them to serve. Our planning committee is committed to offering more community centered nights in order for students to lead parents through their learning and happenings at the school. Students will be keeping Learning Binders that capture their success and learning moments in self discovery, academics, and leadership growth. Our teachers and a staff will be analyzing student growth and progress in Student Learning Teams that focus on academic data and ways to plan for student success and instruction. The two main goals for our school this year are as follows:
Continue to build a student centered culture where the needs of our students are top priority.
Continue to build a student centered culture where learning is at the heart of our success.
Lebanon Elementary School will strive to make sure that all those who enter our doors will leave with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful at the next level of their education. The school is a true, learning entity that positively impacts the lives of all that are a part. Students, faculty, and staff play their role in striving to create a culture of learning while protecting each other. Teaching is the means, learning is the goal.
Our daily mantra is Every Child; Every Day; Charging Forward.
I look forward to serving our school and this community as the next Lead Learner for Lebanon Elementary School and continue the story for future successes.
