The MyShield app is an MCPS-exclusive digital tool that allows students to store, share, and reflect on their best school-related assignments, projects, or involvement. The types of evidence or artifacts students might save to the MyShield app include: pictures, videos, written assignments, slideshow presentations, and much more.
These artifacts will align with the 6 C’s from the MCPS Portrait of a Graduate. As students store these, they’ll be asked to describe the artifact and explain how it aligns to one of the 6 C’s.
Students can access the MyShield app by using their school-issued Chromebook or any other computer or mobile device by selecting the MyShield app from the suite of Google apps. Watch the video below to hear students discuss how the MyShield app helps them show off their best work.
