The MCPS Student Ambassadors recently announced the finalists for both the elementary and secondary divisions of the annual Teacher of the Year awards.
Finalists for the Elementary Teacher of the Year include: Lena Murphy (Lebanon Elementary), Sarah Hutchins (West Marion Elementary), and Abby McCubbin (Glasscock Elementary).
For the Secondary Teacher of the Year, finalists are: Carrie Thompson (Marion County Middle), Alyssa Followay (Lebanon Middle), and Cheryl May (Marion County Middle).
In the coming days, Student Ambassadors will make a surprise visit to deliver the Teacher of the Year trophies to the two overall winners.
