***Reading tip***

Once students have established good 1:1 reading (using their finger to read each word), encourage them to "read with their eyes." This means they can take their finger out. This helps with fluency. Tell them to only use their finger for "tricky" words. Most readers are ready to take out their finger after level 4.

You want younger children to use a finger for levels 1-4. This helps ensure that they do not insert/omit words in sentences.

*****Parents you must send a note if there are any transportation changes. This allows teachers to make sure students get to their correct destination.*****

Parent Drop off:

Parents please make sure that you are still using the roundabout at the bottom of the hill. This allows traffic to stay off of the main road.

Also, in the afternoon please make sure that you are stopping and allowing the buses to exit safely when they are coming down the hill from the back of the school.

 From Mrs. Morgeson:

Please make sure your child(ren) are NOT eating around their Chromebooks. We have had several Chromebooks brought in because they aren't working correctly and it's because the keyboard is full of crumbs or the cord is sticky from a spilled drink or melted candy.

Parents:

You can download the Box Top app. With the app you are not required to cut out Box Tops anymore. You can easily scan your grocery store receipt and apply it to GES.  Thank you to everyone that participates!!!
