Hello and happy Friday everyone! Yesterday during food distribution, a parent said she was in a good mood because the sun was shining, and she expressed how much that impacted her mood. I totally agree! Something about the sun shining brings a smile to my face, even if the weather is still too cold to be out for long! I hope that the sunshine brings a smile to your face as well. Here are your announcements for the week!

Announcements from the Office
The semester ended today, 1/22/21. That means, on Monday, your child will have a different exploratory class (unless he/she is in band). Your child should automatically be enrolled in the new Google classroom. If you are unsure what class your child has, you can look on Infinite Campus or call us at school. You can also email coury.osbourne@marion.kyschools.us if you have any questions about the class or the classroom codes.

Congratulations to the MCMS Academic Team on their DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP win at district Governor's Cup on Saturday! Every student who competed placed in the Top 5 in their assessment category, and our quick recall team received an automatic bid to Regionals. Great job!

Attention to our 7th grade parents! Please mark your calendar for a virtual scheduling night from MCKA on February 4th at 6:00 pm. You can learn about the MCKA curriculum and the elective pathways. This will help students choose their exploratory classes for next year. MCKA will send out a Zoom link closer to that date.

School pictures have been rescheduled for February 1st and 4th. We chose two dates in case we are hybrid at that time. This gives an opportunity for students in both groups to take their school pictures.

Beta shout out! Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Tungate would like to give a big shout out to all parents and students that helped make the virtual state convention awesome. We have competed in several competitions and are anxiously waiting for the results. We are so proud of our Knights who represented MCMS at the state Beta convention!
