Announcements from the Office
7th grade parents - Marion County Knight Academy is hosting a Virtual Scheduling night for incoming 8th graders on February 3rd 6:00-7:00 pm. They will discuss scheduling options, various electives, career pathways, and details about MCKA. The link for that is https://us06web.zoom.us/j/8611...
Success Ready Seal - Mrs. Welch will talk to SEL classes next week about the Success Ready Seal. This is a partnership between MCPS and local businesses to identify students who demonstrate skills needed post high school. Students will be given a brochure with more information about the program. Please ask your child about it!
Progress reports will be sent home with students Friday, February 4th.
Announcements from the Classroom
7th grade Pre Algebra - We have a test over ratios and proportions next week.
7th grade science - Unit 6 test covering energy next week.
Merlin Science - We have a test over Matter next week.
Camelot Science - We have a test over Structures of Matter on Wednesday. Students will be given a copy of the periodic table to use on this test.
6th grade ELA - We will finish our study of figurative language. Figurative language marks the end of our study of Unit 1: Reading Fiction. By the end of the week, we will begin reviewing Unit 1 skills and prepare for the common assessment on February 8th.
By the end of next week, students should have completed at least 5 i-Ready reading lessons.
6th grade Math - Test over Integers/Coordinate Graphing/Rational Numbers/Absolute Value will be on Thursday or Friday of this coming week.

Tuesday - Chicken pot pie, pizza, sandwich or salad
Wednesday - Spaghetti, chicken alfredo, sandwich or salad
