Next week, we will work on writing - making sure that students can use RACE (restate, answer, cite, and explain) to completely respond to a short answer question. We will have library next week as well. Don’t forget to ask your student about his/her i-Ready progress. Students should have at least 6 completed and passed lessons at this point.

Lancelot Social Studies - We will be testing over Medieval Asia Thursday the 17th of February. A study guide has been provided to students on Google Classroom.

We are continuing our nonfiction unit and we will be reading about Civil Rights Heroes of WWII. We are also going to be reading the famous "I Have a Dream Speech" and will be watching the speech as it was recorded in 1963. Students will discuss the impact of reading a speech versus watching/listening to a speech. We are utilizing our Junior Scholastic resource for several articles to wrap up our nonfiction unit.
Please check IC for missing assignments and updated grades.  Students should be completing 6 to 8 IREADY lessons each month. You should be seeing your child completing this at home.
