The Marion County Public Schools Student Ambassadors are currently accepting nominations for their annual Teacher of the Year awards. Any MCPS employee may nominate a teacher.
As in the past, there will be separate awards for elementary (K-5) and secondary (6-12) teachers. Below you can find basic information about the awards:
Nominations should be based on the teacher’s performance this school year
Student Ambassadors will review nominations (with identifying information redacted) and select three finalists for each division
The final selection will be made by an outside group/committee; in the event there are very few nominations, the Student Ambassadors may select the overall winners
Any teacher in Marion County Public Schools may be nominated with the exception of previous winners: Sarah Brussell (‘23), Kara Clark (‘23), Mollie Medley(‘24), Lisa Minor (‘24), Allyson Stine (‘25), and Kelly Allen (‘25).
