MCPS is currently accepting sealed bids for the removal of rock from the school playgrounds at Glasscock Elementary and West Marion Elementary. Bidders are not required to bid on both locations, and those who do bid on both should do so in separate bids.
The existing playground equipment will be removed prior to the rock removal by a different vendor, and the winning bidder is responsible for providing the labor and machinery needed to remove the rock.
Bids will be accepted until 11:00 am ET on July 9, 2026 at the Marion County Board of Education building.
Bids must be in an envelope marked “Playground Rock Removal” in the lower left-hand corner. The bidder’s return address shall appear in the upper left-hand corner. Marion County Public Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.
