Due to a potential shortage of bus drivers, the MCPS Transportation Department may need to cancel bus 162 tomorrow (Wednesday, October 13) morning. This is NOT an official route cancellation at this time, but we wanted to share this information with families in the event this route is cancelled in the morning. Bus 162 serves the Raywick and Scott’s Ridge area.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ROUTE IS CANCELLED?
If this route is cancelled, MCPS will send a voice & text message to these families, as well as posting this information on our social media channels, sending a push notification to the MCPS mobile app, and sharing with the local media.
Students who are affected can be brought to Blandford’s Store in Raywick by 7:05 and ride bus 141; parents can also choose to transport their children to school. If neither of these options are manageable, parents are asked to contact the MCPS bus garage at (270) 692-4150 so that the transportation department can send a late bus to transport those students.
