This is National School Lunch Week so please help us celebrate our school cafeterias!

We hope our students had a restful Fall Break and we can't wait to welcome them back into our schools tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14!

Monday, October 6 - Friday, October 10 is Fall Break in Marion County. There's also NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 13 which is a Staff Development day. Enjoy your time off!

Make sure you mark your calendar for these Play and Learn events for children up to 3 years old sponsored by our FRYSCs!

Students at every school in MCPS have access to a school nurse as well as the district's nurse practitioner. Just make sure you've submitted the required paperwork at your child's school. Keeping kids healthy is one of the best ways to ensure good attendance!

Students in the new Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) courses at Marion County High School got to experience a variety of high-demand careers via Virtual Reality this week thanks to the Lebanon/Marion County Career Center. Students learned about the services the Career Center provides and then explored high-demand careers such as healthcare, construction, and others using VR headsets.

Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL in MCPS Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

At MCHS, some cafeteria items are available every day -- like this parfait. Encourage your son or daughter to explore all the food options in the cafeteria, and as a reminder, all students receive free breakfast and lunch in MCPS thanks to our participation in the CEP program!

If you've been on our main campus recently, you may have noticed another project underway. This will be our football team's new practice field, located behind the softball field.

Our FRYSC Directors wanted to thank everyone who attended their Summer Fun activities which included a Family Movie Night in Loretto, activities at the Bradfordsville Park and Gravel Switch Fire Station, Kona Ice at the Brookhaven community, and concluded with the recent Back-to-School Bash. Over 300 students participated in these activities and now our FRYSC Directors are focused on welcoming students back to school!
